We know no one does it like the brits and R&L crowds are a testament to that.

No one goes crazier, no one is as loud, no one is as passionate as our crowds and we love every single one of you. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at some of the most iconic R&L crowd moments of ALL time.

In no particular order…lets go

Crowd reaction to Kurt Cobain 1992 Reading

August 30 1992, American Rock group Nirvana take the Reading Main Stage, lead vocalist Kurt Cobain arrives onto the stage on a wheelchair, the group kicks off the show with Breed and set off for one of the most iconic live performances where the crowd hung onto every word and 33 years later people are still calling it the best sets of R&L history, you just had to be there.

Lights out, Paramore 2014

Due to technical difficulties the sound cut out during Paramore’s headline set at Reading 2014, but something so abrupt turned into a moment that sent literal chills down the crowd as the group performed The Only Exception fully acoustic, lead vocalist Hayley Williams shouts “Oh my gosh I’ve never going to forget this” as the crowd illuminated the night with their phone lights, singing their hearts out word for word. You’d think the crowd practiced, all the singing in the school assembly comes in handy.

Enter Shikari World Record 2009

When we say no one does it like the brits we mean it, most number of crowd surfers at one show Enter Shikari Reading 2009, thick clouds of dust and sweat covered the masses for every mosh pit to your left there was a person being hoisted above the crowd looking for their missing shoe to your right. Lets see what happens as they takeover our R&L stages this summer

Drake n Giggs 2017 Reading

“I came all the way 7 hours just to party with you” – If you missed this moment you lacked, Reading Main Stage, 2017, Giggs brings out Drake fresh off the release of Drake’s “More Life” album performing their collab track KMT, as soon as Drake steps out onto that stage the crowd ERUPTS screaming crying throwing up and then some creating a viral moment to this day, British crowd’s do it best

BMTH & A Reverse Crowd Surf Reading 2011

British Rock Group Bring Me The Horizon are known to have some of the best crowds, but back in 2011 they had yet another iconic crowd moment. Guitarist Matt Kean reverse crowd surfed over the crowd to play while hanging off the sound tower as Lead Vocalist Oli Sykes shouted “push him back” encouraging the crowd to help Matt find his way → teamwork makes the dreamwork
