Political punk rock trio The Blinders rounded off Friday evening nicely with an explosive headline slot on the BBC Introducing Stage.

The South Yorkshire natives have been championed by BBC Music Introducing in Manchester and it’s clear to see why.

With scratchy guitars and psychedelic lyrics, the band gifted us with pumped-up tracks such as ‘L’etat C’est Moi’ and ‘Gotta Get Through.’ Lead vocalist and guitarist Thomas Haywood even jumped up by the stage speakers and peered over their eager-eyed crowd – intimidating but we loved it!

The three-piece have been inspired by artists such as Bob Dylan and have already supported the likes of Cabbage on tour. Their angsty stage presence proves they are a band to watch in the coming months and we’re totally here for it.
