‪Sum 41 deliver an all killer set‬

Of all the skate-punk bands from the early 2000s (think ‪The Offspring‬, ‪Blink 182‬, ‪Green Day‬) ‪Sum 41‬ were always one of the most fun, and so when they announced their return to Reading Festival in 2018 (on the 15th anniversary of their ‘Does This Look Infected’ album) we knew it was going to be All Killer and No Filler. Their set on the Main Stage today definitely ticks those boxes and more.

The crowd go especially wild for the big hits, and every song is a banger from ‘Motivation’ early in the set to ‘In Too Deep’ toward the end. They even manage a ‘We Will Rock You’ cover, delivered in a punk style as a giant inflatable skeleton flipping the bird emerges from the back of the stage.

The undoubted moment of  the set however comes from Mike Shinoda coming on for a closing cover of ‘Faint’ by Linkin Park. Bangers from start to finish.
