The Front Bottoms are one of those bands that are very easy to love and even if you haven’t heard them before, if you caught their set on the Radio 1 Stage this afternoon, you’ll no doubt now be a convert to the New Jersey band’s emo-pop sound.

Opening with ‘The Beers’ there is an immediate party atmosphere on the Radio 1 Stage, especially from the girl crowdsurfing the blow up green alien.

They follow this up with ‘Maps,’ also from their self titled debut, and the crowd lap it up.

If the party isn’t pumping enough, they end with a double salvo of ‘Au Revoir’ and ‘Twin Size Mattress,’ yet another massive singalong.

I will defy anyone who saw The Front Bottoms not to leave with a smile on their face today.
