Slaves know how to bring the party to the closing night of a festival. The cheeky punk-pop duo have in recent years gone from playing tiny venues, to headlining bigger rooms and now to closing out Reading Festival on the BBC Radio 1 Stage.

What. A Journey. Tonight it’s clear they’re here to enjoy themselves from the off.

Slaves have become well-known for their epic viral music videos and one of the most fun moments in the set comes alongside Slaves latest single, ‘Cut And Run’ when they ask the crowd to join in with the dance moves featured in their latest video.

They are the musical equivalent of England’s World Cup summer; loud, laddish and just pure fun. Tonight’s set proves they are one of the UK’s finest.
