Kings of Leon gives us the finale to Reading Festival we were all hoping for

Nashville native rock band Kings of Leon treated us to over an hour of foot-stomping tunes from across their 7 chart-topping studio albums this evening.

Their headline performance was truly special, with the multi-platinum selling band giving us a dazzling light show and seamless transitions between songs kicked off by well-established anthem ‘Slow Night, So Long.’

This isn’t the first time they’ve headlined Reading Festival, and they’ve definitely perfected their performance long before now. The band have truly proved their worthiness as a headliner on Sunday’s Main Stage with this show – that’s for sure.

Lead-singer Caleb Followill’s raw yet smooth vocals are both distinct and perfect and every song emanates 80s rock-pop vibes. Newer track ‘Waste a Moment’ taken directly from their latest record ‘WALLS’ gains an equally loud applause as the older classic tunes like ‘Pyro’ and ‘Notion.’

Incredibly, as soon as the beginning of ‘Use Somebody’ and finale song ‘Sex on Fire’ are played out, the crowd sang back every line at the lads, making for some beautiful scenes on the Main Stage.

All in all, they’ve given us the perfect soundtrack to beat the last-night festival blues, and we can’t thank them enough for it.
