Food and Drink

Only food for personal consumption can be brought into the Arena.

We only allow sealed soft drinks under 500ml, as well as empty reusable plastic and metal bottles of any size into the Arena.

Please refill your empty bottles at the water points inside the Arena for free.

Water Points

There are tested drinking water points throughout the Arena which are free to use. If you notice any issue with our water points, let a member of staff know so that they can get it fixed.

Guest Area with Viewing Space Upgrade

Upgrade your festival experience with access to the official Reading Festival backstage Guest Area plus designated Main Stage viewing space, situated in front of the secondary barrier.

This previously unavailable to purchase package will also allow you and your mates to escape the crowds and chill out in style.

You’ll gain access to the Reading Festival Guest Area including:

  • Private Bar*
  • Guest Area DJs
  • Food Options*
  • Toilet Facilities
  • Casual Seating
  • Access to a standing viewing section in front of the secondary barrier at the Main Stage
  • Commemorative wristband

*At an additional cost

This Upgrade is not a festival ticket – you must have a valid arena or camping ticket for the same day as your Upgrade to gain entry. 1 Upgrade admits 1 person. Guest Area wristband lets you come & go at your leisure through the day. Timings to be confirmed closer to the event and are subject to change. Reading Guest Area

Crime Prevention

Anything such as car keys, cash, credit cards, mobile phones, wallets, purses and other valuables should be kept on you at all times, or Weekend Ticket holders can use the pre-bookable onsite lockers. You can also leave items at Lost Property/Safe Storage for £2.00 per item, with 24-hour access as needed.

If you do decide to carry these on your person, make sure you keep them hidden and secured under your outer clothing.

Do not leave them in unattended vehicles or in your tent.
