Another year back in Richfield Avenue for Rockstar Energy presents Reading Festival 2024 and long story short it was a movie. With the debut of our brand new stages The Chevron & The Aux, alongside the late night silent rave at the Chevron after dark, the show was filled with incredible highlight moments, lets relive some of them now…

Friday

Headlining our brand new Chevron stage; The Prodigy delivered an unforgettable set delivering hits spanning across their 35 year career. Performing classics such as Spitfire, Breathe, Firestarter, Voodoo People and more in addition to their tribute to late band member Keith Flint displaying his silhouette across the screens, our headliners left an exceptional memory in the minds of fans.  Based in our open air floating video canopy, The Prodigy created a bespoke show with visuals displayed across our screens and LED canopy giving fans a first of its kind immersive experience. Their performance further solidified their place as icons in electronic music.

Aussie duo Confidence Man delivered a sensational set on our BBC Radio 1 Stage, turning Richfield Avenue into a dance night club. Performing their hits such as  Now U Do, Holiday and Does It Make You Feel Good?  the group’s electro pop tunes had us partying all night.

Nostalgic, Pop Punk, Sensational three words to describe Main Stage Headliners Blink-182 set at Rockstar Energy presents Reading 2024. With several fans rocking merch dating back to the 90’s the energy and excitement  from in the crowd  was nothing short of exceptional. Performing  fan favourites such as I Miss You, First Date, All The Small Things and more, fans were taken back in time on a 2000’s rollercoaster filled with singalong highs and nostalgia heart filling lows. Closing out our main stage with a firework finale Blink 182’s  return to our stages was long overdue and well worth the wait.

Saturday

Producer and DJ Barry Can’t Swim took over our Chevron Stage as the sun began to set in Richfield Avenue. Met with flocks of energetic fans Barry captivated the audience with his electronic frequencies and undeniable star quality. Displaying visuals across the Chevron screens, he created a one of a kind immersive experience for dance music fans leaving a lasting impression alongside a  lifelong shared experience.

R&L fan favourites The Wombats returned to our stages this summer, beloved by many, the group put on yet another unforgettable performance. Performing their indie rock classics such as Greek Tragedy, Kill The Director, Let’s Dance to the Joy Division had the crowd roaring for more and hanging on every single word.

Fred Again’s headline set was nothing short of a visual masterpiece. From projections over the heads of fans to lasers phasing across the crowd the cinematic experience created by Fred Again.. was pure euphoria. He made a show where every light every beat every projection only had the purpose of enveloping fans in a fully immersive sonic experience. Tracks like Delilah (pull me out of here), leavemealone and places to be completely captivated the audience leaving fans buzzing till the last firework went off.

One of the most anticipated sets of the weekend, superstar Lana Del Rey blessed  our Main Stage with her ethereal presence. Her soft vocals sent goosebumps across the audience, as they hung on to her every word, chanting along word for word at the top of their lungs. Her set design was something out of a dream, feather coated fans, greenery wrapped pearly white gates, dancers plié and leap around Lana surrounded by the most gorgeous sunset themed lighting. Her performance was nothing short of unforgettable and definitely one for the books.

Sunday

Rising star in the UK drum and bass scene Nia Archives returned to Rockstar Energy presents Reading Festival this summer bringing the vibes to our Chevron stage. Her genre blend of electronic, jungle and drum & bass had the crowd going crazy from start to end of her set, displaying some of the most mesmerizing visuals across our LED overhead canopy while she went hit for hit showcasing exactly why she is growing to be one of the best; bringing her unique sound to the DnB game.

Legendary member of Oasis Liam Gallagher headlined our Mainstage, closing out our Sunday night delivering the most iconic setlist. With a mix of Oasis classics such as Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back in Anger with his own solo hits like For What It’s Worth and Wall of Glass, Liam had the crowd hooked onto every word. The kind of set that will live in the minds of fans forever, witness the epitome of greatness and nostalgia, you just had to be there.
