Discover: Man With A Mission

Reading Festival holds a legacy of bringing you the very best in home-born and International talent. Man With A Mission are no exception to the rule.

The five-piece rockers are dominating the scene in Japan, if you didn’t already know them – here’s why you should.

AN INTRO TO MAN WITH A MISSION

Hailing from Shibuya, Tokyo, these guys have been blending hard rock, punk and dance-pop since 2010, arguably making them Japan’s biggest pop-punk stars. You may recognise them for their most evident characteristic of signature individual wolf masks worn at every show and within every music video; keeping their identity incognito.

The back story involves them being created as the “Ultimate Life Form” by Jimi Hendrix who is described by the band as being the doctor of the guitar and master wolf biologist.

UK SHOWS WITH DON BROCO

They recently embarked on a UK tour with none other than fellow Reading fest performers, Don Broco – selling out their London headline show at The Dome to an ecstatic crowd. Having earlier this year headlined two nights at Tokyo’s Saitama Super Arena in front of 50,000 fans, this summer they will take on The Pit alongside the likes of Papa Roach, Beartooth and Metz for their Reading festival debut!

FAN ART

Many loyal fans use the band as their muse to create some incredible fan artwork. Can you do any better than these?!

THEY’VE COLLABERATED WITH PATRICK STUMP

Did we mention they’ve worked with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump? He co-wrote and produced one of their tracks ‘Dead End In Tokyo’, an ode to the people who come to the city with big dreams but end up stuck in a dead end.

Man With A Mission will deliver an ‘Out Of Control’ performance on Saturday at this year’s Reading.

‘Raise Your Flag’ with them, make sure you’ve got your tickets now.
