The song, called 'When You're Away', segued perfectly into the rest of Bethany Cosentino's breezy performance, in which she played tracks from her debut album 'Crazy For You'. Joined by guitarist Bobb Bruno and drummer Ali Koehler, she encouraged fans to "dance their asses off and push each other around gently."
Looking summery in terracotta shorts and black vest, Cosentino, who has just recovered from illness, seemed to be revelling in the atmosphere and warm reception from the crowd.
Ending the set with an extended version of 'When I'm With You', which saw Cosentino playing guitar laid down on the stage, the LA singer thanked the crowd before telling them she would see them all again soon.
