Spector

Named after the now infamous producer, London five-piece Spector describe their music as “particularly English power-pop, somewhere between Roxy Music and The Strokes, The Killers and Kanye West, Pulp, R&B and Frank Sinatra.” Started as a solo project by Fred MacPherson, the band have since expanded, recorded sessions for Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and signed to Fiction Records. They went on to be tipped by Blur’s Alex James and nominated for the BBC Sound of 2012 poll and their smart angular pop saw critics swoon following last year’s release of their debut album ‘Enjoy It While It Lasts’. Superstardom now seems inevitable.
