Post War Years
Initially from Leamington Spa but now East London residents, Post War Years formed when vocalist Simon auditioned for a guitarist for his band and accidentally invited guitarist Henry and bassist Tom to the same rehearsal. Too embarrassed to tell either to leave, both joined the band instead. Drummer Fred joined later and Post War Years were formed. Influenced by the likes of Tom Vek, Clor and Bjork, they described their 2009 debut album as having “beats, live samples, lots of bass, soaring melodies, crazy synth lines, confusing bits and lots of ear candy” and followed it in style earlier this year with second album ‘Galapagos’.
