Inspired by both traditional songs from their native Cornwall and the punk bands they listened to growing up, make sure you check out Crowns’ shanty-esque rabble rousing folk punk racket at the Reading & Leeds Festival. The band hit the ground running in late 2011 with their debut single ‘Kissing Gates’, charming the likes of Zane Lowe and XFM’s John Kennedy with what they have called “fish-punk”. Their debut album ‘Stitches In The Flag’ followed last year, described by BBC Music as “full of rousing, riotous, rebellious, roughshod anthems.”
We will still be playing in Manchester on the 20th. Crowns apologise to The Levellers, their crew and fans for any inconvenience caused.
We are sorry to announce that due to an unforeseen date clash we will not be appearing at the Nottingham show with The Levellers on the 19th
